Village Hall Committee
• The Village Hall and Playing Fields is a registered charity – 271374.
• The committee is made up of representatives from the village with a view of running and maintaining the facilities for the use of the interested parties and the general public.
• The Village Hall is available for private hire, which generates income for the committee to use for the upkeep and maintenance of the hall and linked facilities.
• The Sports Pavilion is mainly used by the Cricket Club and Football Club but is also available for private hire.
• The Playing Fields consist of a large, grassed area, which is used by the Cricket Club and Football Club during their respective seasons. There is also a playground for children, which consists of slides, swings etc. This is available to anyone free of charge.
Village Club
• Because the Village Hall is a registered charity, it is not allowed to serve alcohol. Therefore, a sub-committee was set up to run the Village Club.
• The sub-committee run the bar and clubhouse for the benefit of residents and non-residents and are currently open 3 days a week, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Any profits made are paid back to the Village Hall committee to maintain the facilities provided.
• The sub-committee organise regular quiz nights and host music nights amongst other things to raise money for charity and for the general upkeep of the club. .
